CME Providership Accreditation Information: The American Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Medical Association designates this journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM per course. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physicians who complete the CME course and score at least 80% correct on the quiz are eligible for 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditT.

MOC Statement: Successful completion of JAMA Network CME activities, which includes participation in an evaluation component, enables the participant to earn MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine‚Äôs (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Obtain AMA PRA Category 1 Credit by reading an article and completing a brief online quiz. Expired courses are no longer available for credit, but are useful practice for managing your educational experience. There is no charge to take a practice course until submitted for credit.
